Your lenses are a significant investment in your vision and your health. Proper care extends their life and prevents eye infections.
For glasses: always rinse frames with water before wiping to avoid scratching, use a microfiber cloth, and store them in a case when not in use. Avoid leaving glasses in hot cars, which can warp frames and damage coatings.
For contacts: wash hands before handling, never sleep in lenses unless prescribed for overnight wear, replace cases every 3 months, and never top off solution — always dump and refill. Skipping these steps is one of the leading causes of corneal infections. If you experience any eye discomfort while wearing contacts, remove them immediately and call our office.
